What Actually 'Stars' & 'Planets' Are

at night when you look up high in the

sky you will notice trillions of shining

dots out of which some appear brighter

some are bigger while some of them

twinkle it is a point to ponder what are

these dots so they are nothing but stars

and planets stars are heavenly bodies

that possesses their own light and

twinkle they are fixed and large

luminous body like the Sun on the

flipside planets are celestial objects

which have an aberrant motion of their

own and also moves around the star in an

elliptical orbit there is one thing you

must understand that nothing is fixed in

our universe everything is moving as

planets move around the Sun the Sun

moves around our galaxies black hole

Sagittarius a and our galaxy is moving

towards Andromeda galaxy and so on these

two bodies might look alike but as for

science there are huge differences

between stars and planets which we've

simplified for you in this video so

let's start with the comparison between

both celestial objects stars are the

astronomical objects that emit their own

light reduce q2 thermonuclear fusion

occurring at its core while planets

refer to the celestial object that has a

fixed spot called orbit in which it

moves around the star stars have their

own light while planet's tone stars

position change in the galaxy like I

told you earlier that nothing is still

but due to substantial distance it can

be seen after a long time while planets

to change their position stars are big

my planets are small although the size

of planets is a far more interesting

topic which if you want to know then we

had already made a series of three

videos named how they can a planet gate

which you can check out after watching

this video or you will also find it in

the I button at the top right corner of

this video well coming back to this

video both stars and planets have a

spherical shape

temperature of stars is extremely high

while temperatures of planets are

but exceptions are always there like

what if I tell you that there is a star

which is cooler than Venus or mercury

impossible right but it is real and we

also had a video on it named the coldest

star in the universe you'll find it in

the i-12

so let's move on to our next comparison

there is only one star in the solar

system while there are eight planets

stars twinkle like granite stone stars

are made up of hydrogen helium and other

light elements while planets are made up

of solid liquid or gases or a

combination they are on now let's talk a

little bit about the scientific

definitions of both planets and the

stars let's start with the stars first

stars can be understood as the glowing

ball consisting of plasma clashed

together by its gravity plasma is an

intensely heated state of matter stars

are made up of gases like hydrogen

helium and similar other light elements

the shine in the stars is due to the

nuclear reaction that takes place in

their core as a result of the fusion of

hydrogen into helium the nuclear

reaction occurring in the stars

continues to emit energy in the form of

light in the universe that helps us to

see them and also observe them through a

radio telescope one important

characteristics of the star is that they

twinkled because as the light of the

star falls on the earth it passes

through the Earth's atmosphere and as a

result of atmospheric reflection they

seem to twinkle and also it moves from

east to west when observed from the

earth the Sun is the closest star to the

planet Earth which is nearly 150 million

kilometres away the distance of stars is

expressed in lightyears that is the

distance traveled by light per year and

if you want to know how long does it

take to travel one light year with a

current technology then you must

consider this amazing video which you'll

finally I wouldn't do well we have way

more amazed

on our channel so please go and check

out now let's come to planets the term

planet represents the heavenly object

that revolves around the star in a

definite path called orbits it is huge

enough that it occupies the shape of a

sphere by its gravity but not as large

to initiate nuclear reaction planets of

our solar system are divided into two

parts inner planets the planets whose

orbits rest inside the asteroid belt is

known as inner planets these are small

in size consist of solid elements like

rocks and metals it includes Mercury

Venus Earth and Mars

and the outer planets outer planets are

the ones whose orbit lies external to

the asteroid belt their size is

comparatively larger than inner planets

and has a ringer on them they are made

up of gases like hydrogen helium and so

on it includes Jupiter Saturn Uranus and

Neptune now you might have got a clearer

understanding of the differences between

these two along with the reasons for the

differences so whenever a new solar

system is created first of all stars are

formed whereas planets are formed later

on within the orbit of the star now if

you wanna stay updated about the space

then do not forget to subscribe to our

Channel and if you like this video then

please give it a thumbs up so that's all

for this video and thanks for watching

see you next time
